Measures to improve fuel cleanliness

The cleanliness of diesel fuel largely determines the life of the fuel injection pump and injector. In order to keep the fuel entering the diesel engine clean, in addition to the sedimentation and filtration according to regulations before adding it to the fuel tank, the filter device set on the vehicle for purifying the fuel must be properly used and maintained.

1. Diesel filter The function of the diesel filter is to filter out mechanical impurities and moisture in the diesel fuel to ensure the cleanliness of the diesel entering the fuel injection pump. The filter of the metal belt slit filter is composed of a brass belt wrapped around a corrugated cylinder. Mechanical impurities larger than 0.04~009 mm in the diesel fuel cannot pass through the gap and remain on the outside of the filter material, so that the diesel fuel is filtered, and moisture and heavier impurities are precipitated at the bottom of the filter housing. The paper filter of the paper filter is composed of a central tube, a cylindrical filter paper, and upper and lower cover plates. The upper and lower cover plates are bonded and sealed with adhesives on both ends of the paper filter element. During operation, after the diesel enters the filter through the oil inlet, it fills the surrounding of the core, and the diesel enters the center tube through the holes on the filter paper, flows upward from the center tube and flows out from the oil outlet pipe. The filter paper used for the paper filter element is treated with phenol wall resin, and the micro size is about 0.5um. The diesel filter should be inspected, cleaned or replaced after 200~300 hours of use. The mesh filter can be brushed with wool to clean the outer surface, and the felt filter element can be blown out from the filter element with compressed air: the paper filter element cannot be cleaned and should be replaced after 100 hours of use.

2. Fuel tank
